Importation of live plants, fresh cutflowers, fruits and vegetables or other plant cuttings are subject to the conditions mentioned in General Information. The importation of some species of plants is prohibited. Plant and plant products from several countries and regions are also prohibited, whether importation is direct or transit through a second country. Specific conditions for the importation of plants or plant products are listed on the Plant Import Permit, which is issued within 72 hours after submitting a completed application. Application forms or additional information may be obtained from the Animal & Plant Inspection Services of the Department of Agriculture.
