The Customs Laws are critical to the economic health and security of the Cayman Islands.  Any importation restrictions have been carefully considered and approved by our elected representatives as being in the best interests of the Cayman Islands and its citizens.  Any taxes assessed on tariffs and collected by the Customs Department are authorized under duly enacted statute and remitted to the Cayman Island treasury.
